briefing » after being released from the entity known as gaea and forced to accept her task of them, gilbert and megumi find themselves in a brand new city different from nuadoria. this city is sophia, one of the four grand cities that protect nuadoria and its royalty from "the outside" (they also serve to send candidates necessary for the magister militum position within nuadoria as a sign of continuous peace and respect towards each other). while gil and megumi have set off to finish their "assignments" as quickly as possible in hopes of speeding up being reunited with their loved ones, they run into too many dead ends to count. frustrated and anxious, gil seeks a possible alternative to farm for the necessary information. megumi, on the other hand, focuses her concern on the situation of the supposed missing girl they are to retrieve and how valid she believes the story they were told is. with two new companions (a black rabbit for gil and a raven for megumi) that confound the two of them as to their purpose or otherwise advantage, their luck is about to change again... for better or worse.
